This lot will be sold on Tuesday, 1st December (day 1 of the auction.) Lots 1-463 will be sold on day 1 (lots 464-913 will be sold on day 2). The auction will begin at 2:00 pm GMT. A set of three hand-painted costume designs, assorted artwork and promotional stills from the production and promotion of Marco Brambilla's sci-fi action-comedy Demolition Man.

Created by Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood, the three full-length costume designs depict John Spartan (Sylvester Stallone), Lenina Huxley (Sandra Bullock) and Chief George Earle (Bob Gunton). Mounted on thick card, the designs are rendered in a combination of marker, watercolour and acrylic paint. Completing the lot are eight assorted designs for background characters and police accessories; two black-and-white promotional stills; and a behind-the-scenes photograph of a prototype costume fitting. The lot displays crease lines, small tears, and marks on the back of the hand-painted designs. Dimensions (Spartan design): 44 cm x 28.5 cm (17 1/4" x 11 1/4"); (Huxley design): 44 cm x 25 cm (17 1/4" x 9 3/4"); (Earle design): 43 cm x 27 cm (17" x 10 1/2")
