This wonderful image has been professionally conserved to linen with almost no restoration. There is just minor fold line touch-up.

The Amazon-stalking Gill-man joined the likes of Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, and the Wolf Man in the Universal monster pantheon after this black-and-white 3D movie hit big in 1954. Two sequels followed though a long-planned remake has yet to surface.
