A Teegarden desk name plate from Edward Zwick's 1996 military drama Courage Under Fire. In the film, Colonel Serling (Denzel Washington) is assigned to determine if Army Captain Karen Emma Walden (Meg Ryan) should be the first woman to receive (posthumously) the Medal of Honor for valor in combat. Desk name plates can be found on the desks of army officials throughout the film.
Made for production, the name plate is made from carved wood and features 'Maj B. Teegarden'. On either end of the name plate are displays, one of which displaying a brass-colored medal.
Though unseen in the film, the piece shows minor wear from age and storage but remains in overall good condition.
