Seven boards featuring both hand-drawn and printed concept designs by conceptual artist Stephen P. Burg from the production of Robert Zemeckis' Contact. The International Machine Consortium (IMC) constructed a machine in Cape Canaveral to make contact with aliens.

This set consists of six illustration boards applied with concept designs for several key scenes involving The Machine hand-rendered, labeled "Contact," signed by Burg, and dated "4/96" in mixed media, as well as a seventh board applied with printed Machine designs labeled "Sony Pictures Imageworks" in two places and affixed with hand-numbered sticky notes. The boards exhibit tape residue and edge wear from handling. Dimensions: (largest) 40" x 30" (101.75 cm x 76.25 cm)
