Hudson Platt's (TJ Miller) Bloody Costume from the 2008 American monster thriller, Cloverfield. Directed by Matt Reeves and produced by J. J. Abrams, the film is told through found-footage in the aftermath of a devastating monster attack in New York City. Hudson spends the majority of the film behind the camcorder as he records the devastating events depicted in the film, however he can be spotted wearing this distressed and bloodied costume towards the end of the film when the survivors crash land in Central Park.
Included in this set are Hud's jacket, dress shirt, t-shirt, dress pants, belt, and sneakers. Hud's blue Lacoste sport jacket is made from a cotton/polyester blend and has been distressed by production to appear dirty, torn, and bloody with numerous areas featuring damage from claws and teeth. Worn under the jacket is Hud's grey dress shirt, which includes a tag from the manufacturer, Ben Sherman. Made from 100% cotton, this shirt has been heavily distressed and has been torn to shreds, as well as textured with grime and stage blood. Hud's yellow J. Crew t-shirt features far less wear with much smaller tears to the fabric, however it shares a similar dirty textured appearance.
Unlike the heavily torn shirts, Hud's pants, belt, and shoes show minimal production distressing. The pants, made by Club Monaco from 100% wool, feature some moderate stains from stunts in the dirt, while his colorful leather belt remains in relatively good condition. Hud's size 14 Nike sneakers can be screen-matched as the ones worn during the Central Park sequence, due to sight specific production distressing on the Nike logo.
Included with this costume are several wardrobe tags, indicating that this piece was worn during scenes 155-End. Most items include tags indicating that they are a size XL, while the pants are a size 38. Although this costume has been heavily distressed for production use, it remains in good production worn condition.
