City of Lost Children, The

Stunt Dream Canister

Stock #59235

”Who stole the child’s dreams? Krank, in his evil schemes. But the happy tale had a sting in it’s tail. The genius has a fit of pique, hear the genius shriek, the ‘genius’ is up a creek.”

A stunt dream canister from Marc Caro and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's 1995 fantasy film The City of Lost Children.

A scientist (Daniel Emilfork) kidnaps children to steal their dreams, in an effort to slow the aging process, and a carnival strongman called One (Ron Perlman) sets out to save them.

Dream canisters are used to capture the dreams of children in Krank’s laboratory and, in one scene, when a fuse blows one of the clones has to detach a dream canister. In his haste he drops the canister on the floor.

This item is made of moulded resin, painted to look like tarnished brass, and held together with metal screws. There are deliberate signs of ageing from production design, and numerous marks of genuine handling and wear but overall this piece remains in a good, production-used condition.
