Our expert's notes
A British Army combat helmet from Alfonso Cuarón’s 2006 dystopian drama Children of Men.
This style of helmet was worn by members of the British Army operating throughout London and at the immigrant detention centre of Bexhill when the entire town is turned into a warzone. The helmet is made of plastic with a black webbing chin strap and a rubber chin cup. The helmet has a grey and green camouflage helmet cover which has some intentional distressing applied to make it look worn and dirty from Bexhill’s brutal urban combat. Lightly used on the production, the helmet remains in overall very good condition.
