A gauge used in the Marvel action movie Captain America: The First Avenger. Scrawny Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is rejected for military service as the United States marches to war against the Japanese and Germans. Given entry by Dr Abraham Erskine (Stanley Tucci), Rogers enlists as part of a “super soldier” experiment, eventually becoming the famous Captain America.
This small gauge can be seen on the array of equipment being used for the super soldier transformation process. Made of black plastic with mechanical parts inside and a custom dial bearing the mark of Stark Industries, the dial was used to measure the saturation of “vita-rays” – a form of radiation necessary to activate the “super soldier serum” and turn a weak human being into a powerhouse – that Rogers received during the experiment.

In very good production-used condition, with only minor wear from its time in use on set, the dial measures 13cm (5“) across its face.

Please note: A wire control extends from the back which would have been used to control the dial, but this remains untested and the functionality cannot be ascertained.
