A Barrel Cork used in the Terry Gilliam movie The Brothers Grimm(2005), where two travelling con artist brothers discover a genuine curse which requires a true courage rather than their usual bogus exorcisms.
This prop is used in the scene when Wilhelm (Matt Damon) and Jacob Grimm (Heath Ledger) are celebrating after their victory against a 'witch' in a small village. Unfortunately for them the French have discovered what they are doing to the villagers and arrest them. During the arrest they are dragged through the inn of which they are staying and Wilhelm Grimm rips the cork off a barrel full of beer.
Made from Rubber painted to appear wooden. The larger piece measures 21cm (8.25") long and 5cm (2")thick, across the thicker part of the cork. The smaller is 8cm (3") long and 3.5cm(1.5") thick.
