The one-sheet and other posters for this thriller were done with a white background, this one has a darker and moodier image, and some feel more in keeping with the film.

The insert was paper backed to flatten the fold lines and reinforce the right three inches of the poster, which had been entirely replaced. The restoration is excellent, and the poster now presents very nicely.

Inspired by both Daphne Du Maurier's 1952 short story, Alfred Hitchock's The Birds depicts an unexplained series of avian attacks in Bodega Bay, California. It was a very tough film to make for actress Tippi Hedren, who almost quit after a bird pecked very close to her eye.
