Melvin P. Thorpe's (Dom DeLuise) costume from Colin Higgins' musical-comedy film The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Thorpe wore his costume during his report at City Hall.

This lot comes from the collection of Estelle Getty's personal assistant and friend, Rich Weaver , and consists of a blue striped polyester-blend shirt with white embroidery and silver-color buttons labeled "2699-3 Dom DeLuise Collar 17 1/2"; matching stirrup trousers labeled "2699-3 Dom DeLuise 38 1/2 28 1/2"; a widescreen DVD; and a production tag. Included are two color photos of DeLuise's costume and a 2003 postcard from his cooking show autographed by him. Dimensions: 5.5" x 7.5" x 0.5" (14 cm x 19 xm x 1.5 cm)
