Squadron Leader Canfield's (Michael Caine) pilot life preserver from Guy Hamilton's war film The Battle of Britain. Canfield wore his life preserver while defending the RAF airfields from the German raids.

This orange P. Frankenstein & Sons Ltd. life preserver features the manufacturer's label, along with the patent number "689597" and a sewn-in costumier's label with Caine's name printed on it. The vest features cotton ties, a plastic whistle attached by a nylon cord, and a rolled collar that runs around the neck and down the front. The vest exhibits some wear from production use and age, including staining, faint fake blood marks on the collar, and rusting of the metal buckles.
