A League of Shadows temple model miniature from Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. Ra's al Ghul (Liam Neeson) recruited Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) into the League of Shadows and trained him to fight in the League's Himalayan temple lair until Bruce rejected the evil League and burned the temple down. As the location where Wayne learned hand-to-hand combat and discovered his particular set of vigilante principles - as well as how they differed from his mentor's - the League's lair was presented as the place where Wayne's alter-ego, Batman, first began. The temple and its destruction were brought to life with a combination of live-action sets, CGI, and model miniatures.

Created by Cutting Edge effects based on designs by Academy Award®-winning production designer and longtime Nolan collaborator Nathan Crowley, this ornately detailed temple miniature with Asiatic patterning on its walls and roof is constructed primarily from wood and particle board. One side of the interior is hand-marked "Back" to indicate its intended placement in a model set, while two arrows are also hand-drawn inside. Included are plastic baggies containing loose and broken exterior elements, including one half of a door, wall paneling, and roof paneling, from production. The temple's roof exhibits denting, its hole has punctures, and the wood paint finish is flaking throughout from production use and age.
