A prop rubber bat used in the production of Christopher Nolan’s 2005 superhero classic Batman Begins.

This and others like it were made for the scenes in Bruce Wayne’s (Christian Bale) Batcave. This rubber bat would have been hung from the ceiling of the cave to appear as though real bats were sleeping there. Made of rubber with wire attached to the feet, the bat was painted with a brown and black finish to accurately replicate the look of the creature’s fur and skin.

The bat remains in good production-used condition, with minor wear from its use and time spent in storage.
