Cal Lynch’s (Michael Fassbender) broken-in-action stunt bow from Justin Kurzel’s 2016 video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed.
Callum Lynch is submitted to an experiment involving the Animus - a machine that has been developed to relive genetic memories - and discovers he is a descendant of the mysterious Assassins. Experiencing the adventures of his ancestor Aguilar de Nerha, he helps the Assassins take on the tyrannical Templars and search for the ‘Apple of Eden’.
This style of bow was used by Callum when he battles alongside Lin (Michelle H. Lin), Moussa (Michael Kenneth Williams) and Nathan (Callum Turner) against a group of security guards as the Assassins attempt to escape the Abstergo facility. Made from foam rubber, this stunt version was used for the hand-to-hand combat sequences. It features a cast in floral pattern, and twine-like material wrapped around where the bow would have been held and near both ends. The piece has been finished in brown and neutral shades creating an aged appearance. The piece was broken during filming and is bent near one end.
This item displays signs of production use including some minor damage to the middle, one end of the underside of the bow and parts of the paintwork. However, in spite of this wear and the damage during production, the bow remains in good production-used condition.
Materials: Foam Rubber, Man-Made Woven Fibres.
