This is a sandwich sign from the 1998 Bruce Willis film Armageddon. The sign, which can be screen matched, can be seen toward the end of the film as we are shown a lone man standing atop a taxi while the world waits to see if the team of drillers can prevent the Earth’s destruction at the hands of a gigantic asteroid.
The sandwich sign is made of two large rectangular pieces of wood held together by two black fabric straps at top. Both the back and front feature black and red lettering with the front reading “The End is Here” and the back “Kiss Your Ass Goodbye”. Additionally, the sign can be turned inside out with the same text on each side but different style lettering.
The sign measures approximately 36” x 24” (91cm x 61cm) and has some wear due to production use and age, but remains in overall good condition.
