This poster was released between 1947 and 1948 during the first two years of the MPEA (Motion Picture Export Association) or in the early 1950s when Angels with Dirty Faces was re-issued in the USA. The MPEA was set up in 1946 after the war ended to help spread the release of American-made movies in occupied Japan, both new and not released before the war. While the film was first released in Japan in 1939 (a year after the USA's first release), this is the first reissue.

The poster shows minor extra soft horizontal creases and minor foxing on the lower right edge and the verso.

Director Michael Curtiz delivers a fast-paced crime drama about two tough kids growing up in one of the roughest parts of New York, Hell's Kitchen. Rocky Sullivan (James Cagney) becomes a hood while Jerry Connolly (Pat O'Brien) becomes a priest. Humphrey Bogart enters the film as Cagney's sleazy lawyer. The drama unfolds when Cagney and O'Brien reunite in the old neighborhood.
