This is a SFX torso appliance from the 2009 mystery-thriller Angels & Demons, starring Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor. These pieces can be seen in the beginning of the film as thousand gather to view and mourn the loss of Pope Pius XVI.
The bust is made out of silicone over a soft foam core and features hand punched gray hair, as well as eyebrows, eyelashes and nose hairs. The entire piece has been painted and detailed for a realistically dead look. Additionally, this item includes a set of silicone hands. The hands are fused together in a folded position, with a red and gold rosary intertwined between the fingers. The bases of both arms exhibit twisted metal attachments, which would have been used during filming to attach the arms to the dummy body.
Due to production use both items display light wear and the left thumb has become cracked in half, but overall these pieces remain in good condition. The bust measures approximately 22" x 14" (56cm x 36cm) and the arms 25" x 15" (64cm x 38cm.)
