Mustafa's (Sammy Sheik) FPK / PSL Sniper Rifle from Clint Eastwood's 2014 war drama, American Sniper. Based on the Chris Kyle's biography, American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History, the film follows Kyle from his SEAL training through his numerous tours in Iraq. Mustafa, a Syrian sniper, repeatedly tries to kill Chris Kyle (Bradley Cooper) throughout the film as he carries a hefty bounty. Made of dense rubber, this stunt rifle was cast from an actual Romanian FPK and includes original factory markings on the sides of the weapon. Stunt weapons such as this piece are commonly used for distance shots where a hero piece is not needed; they are lighter and therefore easier for the actors to handle. They are also used for stunt sequences in which the actor could possibly fall on the prop and injure themselves if they were holding the hero version.
This stunt rifle features a silver painted foam PSO-1 scope screwed into the piece, and also includes a nylon carrying strap. This piece includes a tag from the productions armorer, noting that it was used by Mustafa in tours 1-3.
This item shows some wear due to production use, however it remains in overall very good condition.
The violent crime reduction bill means that this particular prop can only be sold to customers who reside outside the UK. Generally speaking, it is illegal for a resident of the UK to buy this item.
