An original hand-drawn production design from James Cameron’s 1986 action sci-fi film Aliens.

Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is rescued by a deep salvage team after being in hypersleep for 57 years. The moon that the Nostromo visited has been colonized, but contact is lost. This time, colonial marines have impressive firepower, but will that be enough?

This artwork shows the inside of Ripley’s (Sigourney Weaver) apartment. The drawing is rendered in pencil and watercolour with a blobbed effect applied for the bed duvet and some of the floor. Also features an overhead plan of the apartment layout in red coloured ink.

The drawing is on vellum paper and has some minor wear from age and production use, including some creasing and a rip along the bottom edge. Overall it remains in a good condition.
