Power Loader components made for the production of James Cameron's science fiction action thriller Aliens. After coming out of a 57-year stasis, Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) returns to LV-426 in order to investigate the fate of a terraforming colony. At the end of the film, Ripley utilizes a Caterpillar P-5000 Work Loader in order to fight the Xenomorph queen.
These components were produced for the film but were ultimately unused. Made from vacuuformed plastic, each piece is in a varying state of completion and belongs to a different part of the futuristic exoskeleton rig. This set contains a total of 19 components. The largest pieces belong to the left forearm and right arm while the smaller pieces make up the wrist, joints, slider control, and other details from the loader. The left forearm is the most complete piece with the painted vacuuformed plastic assembled over a biscuit foam core. Other pieces are also painted and each is trimmed.
Each piece is numbered in marker and some are labeled with notes for assembly which would later be painted over once the loader was assembled. Showing signs of wear from storage, these pieces are in overall good condition.
