An M41A Pulse Rifle from James Cameron's sci-fi action sequel Aliens. Pulse Rifles were wielded by the Colonial Marines while they searched Hadley's Hope for survivors.

Aliens is considered one of the best sequels ever made, notably deviating from the first film's claustrophobic horror into epic war-movie territory. It earned Sigourney Weaver her first Oscar nomination for playing Ellen Ripley, a rarity for this type of film.

Lightweight Pulse Rifles were frequently used during production, as they were easier for actors to handle and more suitable for action sequences. Made of resin, expanding foam and wood, this lightweight prop rifle was designed by director James Cameron and realised by Simon Atherton, the head of movie armourers Bapty & Co. The rifle is based on a World War II-era M1A1 Thompson submachine gun, with a SPAS-12 shotgun cage below the barrel to simulate a grenade launcher. The piece is painted green-brown and black, and has some paint wear from production and age. It is accompanied by a pair of stands so it can be displayed. Dimensions: 69.5 cm x 7.5 cm x 26.75 cm (27.25" x 3" x 10.5")
