Five original hand-painted animation cels from Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira (1988), widely regarded as one of the greatest animated and science fiction films ever made and a landmark in Japanese animation. It is a pivotal film in the cyberpunk genre and significantly impacts popular culture worldwide. Three of the cels show two members of the Clowns bike gang as they head in pursuit of Tetsuo and Kaori (labelled "A5", "A6", and "B35"), one cel shows a military riot van (labelled "C23"), and the final cel shows part of Tetsuo's mutation into a gigantic mass when he loses control of his powers (labelled "C31"). All five acetate sheets are painted in gouache, with four cels accompanied by their original production drawings of the same scene.

Minor handling wear with sticky tack residue on the corners of each cel.
