This lot will be sold on Tuesday, 1st December (day 1 of the auction.) Lots 1-463 will be sold on day 1 (lots 464-913 will be sold on day 2). The auction will begin at 2:00 pm GMT. A hero Tengu sword from Carl Rinsch's fantasy action film 47 Ronin. Kai (Keanu Reeves) and Oishi (Hiroyuki Sanada) obtained the legendary swords from the Tengu for their mission, after engaging in tests of will.

The sword features a metal blade, with a metal grip, wooden hilt and sheath. The wood has a white paint wash and the handle is wrapped in black leather strips. Metal bird claws decorate the guard, and this motif is also featured on the sheath, which displays thick black cotton string, allowing the sword to be attached to the waist of the wearer.

There is some wear from production use and age, including some dark staining on parts of the sheath, and some discolouration to the sheath's claw detailing. Dimensions: 109.5 cm x 10 cm x 8 cm (43" x 4" 3 1/4")
