Melody Thomas Scott began portraying Nikki Reed, a poor girl from the wrong side of the tracks, in 1979. Over time, Reed reformed and became an important part of Genoa City, and even married Victor Newman (as played by Eric Braeden,) one of Genoa City's wealthiest residents. Scott wrote a memoir of her time with the series called "Always Young and Restless: My Life On and Off America's #1 Daytime Drama," and has been featured in many magazines in the U.S. and abroad.
