Wade Wilson's (Ryan Reynolds) hand appliances from from Gavin Hood’s 2009 superhero blockbuster, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The film follows the future X-Man and his initial journey towards becoming the hero we know him to be. In the film, Wade, a mercenary known later as Deadpool, is implanted with mutant abilities, including regenerating his hands after they are sliced off.
Made for production, both appliances are made of silicone and are ornately detailed with skin-like ridges, painted to resemble flesh and exposed red vein, and inset with faux mechanical rubber components which are painted metallic gray. Small hairs and black snap buttons for attaching to an outer component are affixed to the hands.
While these pieces exhibit some signs of production use, including small tears in the silicone, they remain in very good condition overall.
