A Wade “Deadpool” Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) foam bust made for the production of Gavin Hood’s 2009 superhero blockbuster, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The film follows the future X-Man and his initial journey towards becoming the mutant hero we know him to be. In this early adventure, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) encounters the expert assassin Deadpool who becomes the focus of intense government experiments.
This bust was created from a life cast of Reynolds and sculpted to reference the actor to help in the creation of his more gruesome appearance later in the film. The bust is made of dense foam and is finished in flesh tones, featuring eyelash hair as well as hand-punched hair in his eyebrows.
The piece shows some chipping in the paint, but it remains in very good overall condition.
