A prop ‘Evening News’ newspaper used in the production of James Watkins’ 2012 horror-drama, The Woman In Black. The film follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) as he travels to a remote village terrorised by a vengeful ghost. Kipps finds himself in a race against time to discover the mystery of the spectre woman before she takes all the children of Crythin Gifford.
This style of newspaper can be seen being read by Arthur Kipps on his journey to Crythin Gifford, with this folded version seen folded with his possessions as he arrives at Crythin Gifford station. The broadsheet newspaper is made up of two printed sheets of paper and features a cover image of the Bishop of London leaving the capital for Khartoum. The paper is folded, with creases applied to make it look worn and used. Distressed for use in the production, this prop remains in excellent production-used condition. It measures 60.5cm x 45cm x 0.2cm (24” x 17.75” x 0.25”) when unfolded.
This prop is an original asset used in the production of the 2012 film The Woman In Black. The asset is made available through a partnership between Prop Store and Exclusive Media. This is not a replica, but rather an original piece from the making of the film.
