A set consisting of a door plaque, keys and knocker used in the production of Tom Harper’s 2015 horror-drama, The Woman In Black 2: Angel Of Death. The sequel takes place forty years on from the original haunting at Eel Marsh House. A group of children are evacuated from World War II London and ultimately awaken the house's dark, ghostly inhabitant.
This collection of props would have been used when Eve Parkin (Phoebe Fox) discovers a key in Eel Marsh House cellar. She ventures to H. Jerome Solicitors to see if she can find the lock that the key fits. The door plaque is made of a gold plated metal plaque, which is inscribed with ‘H. Jerome Solicitor. Commissioner For Oaths’. The plaque is supported on a thick wooden frame by four capped screws. On the reverse is a wire fixture for hanging on the wall. The prop has been intentionally distressed with moss-coloured paint for production purposes. The door knocker consists of two components, an ornate knocker with a ring and a struck plate. The knocker is made from wood, painted and styled into a ‘HJ’ with a metal painted ring attached on a hinge. The struck plate is a metal disk with a bolt for fixing to the door. There is slight wear evident from use in production. There are three keys in total; the first is cast from metal with a ‘HJ’ signature to the top and a copper finish. The second matches the cast of the first but with a gold paint finish. The third again made out of metal with a differing design top piece and gold plated finish. This collection remains in very good production-used condition with the largest component measuring 37cm x 29cm x 3cm (14.5” x 11.5” x 1.25”).
These props are original assets used in the production of the 2015 film The Woman In Black 2: Angel Of Death. The asset is made available through a partnership between Prop Store and Exclusive Media. This is not a replica, but rather an original piece from the making of the film.
