A bird’s nest used in the production of James Watkins’ 2012 horror-drama, The Woman In Black. The film follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) as he travels to a remote village terrorised by a vengeful ghost. Kipps finds himself in a race against time to discover the mystery of the spectre woman before she takes all the children of Crythin Gifford.
This nest would have been used when Arthur Kipps begins to look around the bedrooms in Eel Marsh House, where he has his first sighting of the Woman in Black (Liz White). The piece consists of a hand-crafted nest with two foam chicks. The nest is made up of intertwined twigs, mud, grass and feathers to create an authentic appearance. One chick is made production-ready, finished and painted, the other is cast in foam without decoration and complete construction. Distressed for use in the production, the items remain in very good production-used condition with the nest measuring approximately 38cm x 35cm x 23cm (15” x 14” x 9”).

This prop is an original asset used in the production of the 2012 film The Woman In Black. The asset is made available through a partnership between Prop Store and Exclusive Media. This is not a replica, but rather an original piece from the making of the film.
