A railway station sign used in the production of James Watkins’ 2012 horror-drama, The Woman In Black. The film follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) as he travels to a remote village terrorised by a vengeful ghost. Kipps finds himself in a race against time to discover the mystery of the spectre woman before she takes all the children of Crythin Gifford.
This sign was used on Crythin Gifford railway station platform to mark the name of the location. It is made from wood with painted details. There is minor paint chipping and wear from use in production however the piece remains in very good condition. The sign measures 50cm x 250cm x 8cm (19.75” x 98.5” x 3.25”).
