A Lawrence Talbot (Benicio Del Toro) unfinished stunt werewolf mask and gloves from Joe Johnston's re-imagining of The Wolfman. Brought back to his family’s estate to investigate the death of his brother, Shakespearean actor Lawrence Talbot (Benicio del Toro) finds himself bitten by a werewolf. Suffering fits and terrible dreams he eventually recovers, but it’s not long before the darkness within him is unleashed.
This mask is made of slip latex and has been painted throughout with various shades of brown. Punched brown and grey hair has been applied to the mask to achieve the animalistic feel. The mouth of the mask remains open with only the upper row of teeth attached. The gloves are made of slip latex and have been painted to match the mask. Holes at the ends of the fingers were designed for claws to be attached, though this pair was never completed.
The set shows signs of wear from production and age, but it remains in very good condition.
