This is lovely scarcity, the insert to the 1955 reissue of the classic fantasy film and the last before being released on TV.

An insert with very minor edge and fold wear, plus an extra center horizontal crease and some sporadic diagonal creases as well. Also, the white background of the lower credits panel has a slightly darker hue to it. Otherwise, the images and poster both present very well.

MGM produced this musical fantasy film at an estimated expense of $2,700,000 in 1939 depression era dollars but only earned the studio just over $3 million in return despite positive reviews. A small return in the day. The 1956 television revival, which would become an annual tradition, has made this film one of the most loved and remembered in history. Starring a 16-year-old Judy Garland and a brilliant supporting cast, the film is one of the most collected titles in the poster hobby.
