Drew Struzan hand-painted and signed advertisement artwork from the promotion of George Miller's dark fantasy comedy The Witches of Eastwick.
Drew Struzan is widely regarded as one of the most influential movie poster artists of all time, with a career spanning more than four decades and over 150 iconic theatrical posters. His instantly recognizable hand-painted artwork defined the visual identity of beloved films, including Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Blade Runner, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and The Shawshank Redemption. Celebrated for his masterful blend of realism, composition, and emotion, Struzan elevated the film poster from a marketing tool to a work of art, and his timeless imagery continues to inspire collectors, filmmakers, and artists alike.
This hand-painted artwork features Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer and Susan Sarandon atop Jack Nicholson's head, and was likely intended as a poster for the film. Instead, it was used primarily in newspaper and magazine adverts. It is signed to the right of Nicholson's head by Struzan. The artwork is rendered onto a board, and the reverse is stamped with Struzan's copyright. Dimensions: 40.25" x 30" (102 cm x 76 cm)
