Annie Nielsen's (Annabella Sciorra) Complete Costume from Vincent Ward's 1998 adaptation of the Richard Matheson afterlife novel, What Dreams May Come. When Chris Nielsen (Robin Williams) dies in a tragic car accident, he reunites with his deceased children in Heaven before venturing into the depths of Hell to save his wife, Annie, from damnation. Annie can be seen wearing this costume in the film's opening when she meet's Chris in a boat by the lake, and later in the film when Chris imagines her to be in his version of Heaven.
This costume consists of Annie's knit sweater, bra, skirt, sarong, and sandals. Annie's knit sweater is off-white in color and features a tag from the manufacturer, The North Face. This piece is marked as a size XL, however it is very short and does not cover the waist. Under the sweater is a simple production made bra that features cords used to tie the piece like a bikini top. Below the waist is Annie's white sarong which is made from a thin, soft cotton material, and includes strips of material used to tie the piece around the waist. Worn over this is another sarong that Annie also uses as a blanket to sit on. This item is made from a red polyester material with a red tasseled hem along the perimeter, and has been outfitted with a hook and bar closure, allowing Annie to wear, and then remove the item. Also included are Annie's sandals, which are made by Hype with a plastic top and a leather and rubber sole. The shoes are marked as a size 8.5.
Please note that this costume features minor wear from production use, including a small hole in the skirt, however it remains in overall very good worn condition.
