Acclaimed author Michael Crichton wrote the screenplay based on his novel and directed this dystopian sci-fi thriller about a robot malfunction that unleashes chaos and fear among unsuspecting visitors at a futuristic, adult-oriented amusement park. The artwork prominently features an image of Yul Brynner as the western-themed robot, Gunslinger. This example is folded and exhibits sporadic small creases in the upper border. It showcases a very recognizable image from 1970s movie art.

In 1973, audiences were treated to the new science-fiction Western spectacular, Westworld, about an advanced interactive amusement park where the android characters all start to malfunction with dangerous and murderous results. Written and helmed by first-time director Michael Crichton (whose novel, "Jurassic Park," would become a franchise-maker in 1990) and starring Yul Brynner, Richard Benjamin, and James Brolin.
