Waterworld

Deacon (Dennis Hopper) Original Costume Design Illustration

Stock #19943

"Don't just stand there, kill something!"

An original John Bloomfield costume design for Deacon (Dennis Hopper) used in the production of Kevin Reynolds’ 1995 adventure movie Waterworld.

In a future where the polar ice caps have entirely melted and dry land is a distant memory, the mutated Mariner (Kevin Costner) fights to survive and possibly find the last piece of land around.

The design is hand drawn in pencil and is covered in a collage of bits and pieces of paper, all cut out of newspapers and magazines to look like a mish-mash of items that the Deacon has acquired over the years to create this religious-looking costume. This particular design shows the Deacon wielding a golf club and a wonky pair of goggles and has been signed by the artist John Bloomfield.

The design comes presented in a custom-built display with laser cut mount board featuring the movie title and brief description. It remains in a very good condition.

Materials: Wood, Acrylic, Paper, Card, Ferrous Metals.
