A weighted stunt pistol used in the production of the 2008 action film Wanted. After his father is murdered, unassuming nobody Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) is invited to join a hidden society of assassins, not realising his father was a member himself. Can he live up to the potential his supernatural talents offer him and join the Fraternity?
This pistol was given to Wesley by the leader of the Fraternity, Sloan (Morgan Freeman). In an impressive display, Sloan challenges Wesley to shoot the wings off of flies to prove his abilities. He later uses the pistol to battle rival assassins as the evil plot behind the Fraternity is revealed.

This particular pistol is made of dense hard rubber and would have been used for stunts or scenes in which a hero firing version of the pistol was not required, such as the scenes where Wesley removes the pistol from its hiding place in his toilet. Referred to as an “Imanishi 17”, the pistol is a customised Beretta M92S that features a custom compensator at the end of the barrel and a sculpted grip featuring an array of ornate patterns. Cast from the hero pistol, the weapon is weighted to match the weight of the weapon when loaded, adding a sense of realism when held.

In very good production-used condition, the pistol comes presented in a stunning bespoke display case featuring the film’s poster, stills of the weapon in use in the film and an opening front panel allowing access to the piece.

The violent crime reduction bill means that this particular prop can only be sold to customers who reside outside the UK. Generally speaking, it is illegal for a resident of the UK to buy this item.
