Crew Jackets from Aliens (1986), Superman III (1983), and The Thing (1982) from the Collection of Terry Ackland-Snow, who served as the art director for Aliens and Superman III. He has also been art director or production designer for more than 80 films, going back to the Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1975, notably working on Jim Henson's Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal, as well as Superman II and Tim Burton's Batman.
Included in this lot are three crew jackets. The first is a grey Reebok Bomber-style jacket in size L, with "ALIENS" printed in blue on the front left pocket, and a "Bug Stomper" graphic printed on the back, featuring the image of a gun-wielding eagle and the text "We Endanger Species". The The Thing jacket is a blue satin bomber-style jacket in size XL with silver embroidery on the left breast reading "Ackland-Snow", and on the back reading "The Thing"; the Superman III jacket is also a blue satin bomber, in size L, with silver embroidery reading Superman III Aerial Unit alongside the image of a plane. The Superman III jacket exhibits some fading.

Terry Ackland-Snow is a British film designer who has worked in the Film and Television industry for over 50 years, beginning his career at the age of just 18 in the art department at Danziga Studios in Elstree. He has since featured as an art director or production designer for more than 80 films, going back to the Rocky Horror Picture Show in 1975, most notably working on Jim Henson's Labyrinth and The Great Muppet Caper, as well as Superman II, Tim Burton's Batman, and Aliens.
Since retiring in 2001, he has turned his hand to teaching, applying the wealth of knowledge and experience he has amassed to Art Direction training courses, with the aim of giving back to the industry he is so passionate about.
