Katrina’s (Grace Jones) SFX skeleton arms from Richard Wenk’s 1986 horror comedy Vamp. In the film, two fraternity pledges discover that the bar they have stumbled into is run by vampires. These arms were created for Katrina’s death scene as she is exposed to sunlight and is melted to a skeletal form. With her last breath, her skeletal arm issues AJ and Allison the middle finger. These arms feature resin bones over a metal infrastructure, and have been textured with bits of foam latex skin which has been textured to appear rotted away. The arms are connected via control cables to dual grips which allowed a puppeteer to control the fingers. This lot shows some wear to the arms due to production use and age, particularly to the wrist and fingers where bones are no longer secured in place, however the set remains in overall fair used condition.
