A V crowd mask and wig hat from James McTeigue's dystopian drama V for Vendetta. As an act of rebellion against a fascist Britain, throngs of protesters took to the streets in Guy Fawkes costumes matching the one worn by the terrorist V (Hugo Weaving).
The mask is made of air-brushed vacuum-formed plastic with a foam lining and a black elastic strap, while the wide-brimmed black felt hat features a black synthetic wig stitched into the brim. "V347" is handwritten in white pen on the hat's interior. This lot is accompanied by a pair of Warner Bros. certificates of authenticity and is presented on a custom-made display. Dimensions: (mask) 20.5 cm x 16 cm x 11 cm (8" x 6.25" x 4.25")
