Military Range Shooting Target

Our expert's notes

An aluminium military shooting range target from an unknown production.

This military target is crafted from silver aluminium and features an illustration of an armed figure printed on the front. There are slots cut into the bottom of the target, presumably to fix it to a secure base. Printed onto the armed figure are 3 rectangular shooting targets, with the smallest aimed right at the centre.

On the left-hand side of the figure is the name of the company who crafted the target, 'Blackburns Aluminium Fabrication', as well as a serial number: 'DRG No 18705.' On the bottom right, further details can be found, 'FIG. 11/59.' The words 'Property of Ministry of Defence Crown Copyright Reserved' are printed underneath.

There are some minor scratches and scuffs on the target, as a result of age and use. However, it remains in very good condition with all details clearly visible.
