David Dunn's Stunt Security Poncho from the 2000 M. Night Shyamalan thriller, Unbreakable. In the film, Philadelphia security guard Dunn (Bruce Willis) discovers that he is gifted with extraordinary abilities. Upon receiving guidance from the strange comic enthusiast, Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), David reluctantly dons a make-shift costume and emerges as a modern day superhero. A security poncho can be seen worn by David in the third act of the film, when he accepts his role as a protector and takes his superhero act to the streets. This stunt version was made to be worn by either Bruce Willis or his stuntman during the film’s brutal finale when the poncho has grown in size.
This is one of the longer poncho's worn by David, as his poncho slowly gets larger as the film progresses. The poncho, which is made of green nylon, features 'Security' printed along the back shoulder area in faded yellow lettering. The front of the poncho features "FSU" printed in red and yellow colored lettering. 'FSU' is an acronym for Franklin State University, a fictional school in the film. This hooded poncho can also be sealed with numerous buttons located on the sides of the garment.
There are two small tears on the back of the poncho, though the piece still remains in good, production used condition.
