White Haz-Mat Suit Hood

Our expert's notes

A haz-mat suit hood worn by one of the Archministry troopers in Ultraviolet. Set in the far future, an epidemic that caused a sickness with vampire-like symptoms has almost been brought to an end. With the militant Archministry closing in on the last of the "hemophages", it's up to Violet Song (Milla Jovovich) and the resistance to put an end to their corrupt regime.
This hood formed part of the striking haz-mat suit costumes seen throughout the film, worn by the uninfected members of the Archministry to burn the remains of hemophages to prevent further infections. Made of white synthetic material, the hood features faux-respirator components on the front, with a tinted visor to allow the performer to see and reflective strips of material running across the top. Velcro strips are present around the collar to hold the hood to the suit, while there is a wicker riding helmet internally to allow a comfortable fit and to maintain the hood's distinctive shape.

Well used during production and marked with the name "Xing Xing" internally, some paint has come away from the respirator vents. However, in spite of this minor flaw, the hood remains in a very good production-used condition.
