An armoured guard costume from the production of Kurt Wimmer’s 2006 sci-fi action film Ultraviolet.

This armour and other sets like it were worn by the Glass Guards seen at the start of the film as Violet (Milla Jovovich) steals ‘the weapon’ from the Archministry. The costume consists of a black jumpsuit made of synthetic material with wire-like rubber detailing, over which is attached a series of transparent plastic armour plates across the shoulders, arms and legs. The jumpsuit has ‘David Leung’ handwritten in the collar, along with the labels ‘M’ and ‘175’.

The armour is missing some of the armour plates, most notably the chest armour and one of the knee pads. One of the shoulder pads is cracked and the costume has scuffing and scratches from production use. Overall it remains in good condition.
