A light-up "Dorothy" sensor from Jan de Bont's Twister. Storm chasers Bill (Bill Paxton) and Jo Harding (Helen Hunt) used an invention named "Dorothy," which was filled with sensor balls to gather insights on tornadoes.

This ball comprises a plastic shell with one transparent half, the other painted silver and chrome to appear metallic. The halves are held together by two metal screws. The interior contains a circuit board, an LED bulb, a battery and a rubber-coated wire, which protrudes from a small hole in the clear half. A switch is located at the seam of the two halves, which operates the LED light, powered by one 6V battery. The ball exhibits chipped paint and discolouration to the metal and interior pieces. Dimensions: 5 cm x 5 cm x 5 cm (2" x 2" x 2")
