A hand-drawn Mariano Diaz sketch of a Trojan warrior from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 mythical epic Troy. The ancient kingdoms of Troy and Sparta did battle to control the Aegean Sea.

The costume was designed by Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by Diaz in graphite on paper. Labelled “33”, this sketch shows a front view of the soldier’s armour. The costume features a shoulder plate, war skirt, bracers, pauldrons, greaves and a helmet. The helmet is depicted in a Chalcidian style with a nose-guard, cheek plates and a feathered plume. Diaz’s autograph is hand-signed in pencil at the bottom of the illustration.

The edges of the artwork have been cut unevenly but it remains in very good overall condition.
