Troy

Greek Sword - 1

Stock #72044

A stunt Greek sword used in Wolfgang Petersen’s adaptation of Homer’s great epic Troy. After falling for the beautiful Helen (Diane Kruger), Trojan prince Paris (Orlando Bloom) smuggles her aboard the ship of his brother, Hector (Eric Bana) to take her to Troy. Seeking revenge, the Greek armies led by Agamemnon (Brian Cox) and the legendary warrior Achilles (Brad Pitt) set sail for Troy, where one of history’s greatest wars will be waged.

This sword and others like it can be seen in use by Greek warriors, led by one of the strongest warriors Ajax (Tyler Mane), as they battle the undefeated Trojans. Made from rubber, this stunt sword has been painted in a dark faux-bronze colour and then distressed using shades of green paint. This was done in order to represent the oxidation process that would normally occur on an aged metal of this material. The handle of the sword has been painted to look like wood. The blade of the sword features two strips of engraved detailing and the base of the blade has a raised ‘pincer’ shape.

Well used on the production, the sword features some wear to the finish adding to the intentional distressed look. The sword remains in very good production-used condition.
