A neutral program helmet from Steven Lisberger's Tron. Programs, the user-built electronic beings that inhabited the digital world, wore circuitry-lined outfits, including helmets, throughout the film.

One of the first films to feature entirely computer-animated sequences, Tron achieved its effects using matte-photography techniques and backlit animation. The actors were shot in black-and-white on a black background, then printed on large, high-contrast film and hand-colored using rotoscoping.

This white vacuum-formed plastic was repurposed from a heavyweight hockey helmet by production, applied with intricate circuit-board decals made from black tape, and lined with foam. This helmet exhibits discoloration, lifted adhesive, missing screws, cracks, and a hole at the top. Dimensions: 9" x 9" x 10" (23 cm x 23 cm x 25.5 cm)
