Kevin Flynn's (Jeff Bridges) program costume components with a neutral program bracer and kodalith from Steven Lisberger's Tron. In the film, Flynn wore his circuitry-lined costume after being digitised by MCP into the ENCOM gaming grid along with its user-built neutral programs.

Tron, a truly groundbreaking film, was one of the first productions to use computer-generated imagery extensively, featuring approximately 15 to 20 minutes of CGI combined with over 50 minutes of backlit animation. The actors were shot in black-and-white on a black background, then printed on large, high-contrast film and hand-coloured using rotoscoping. The animation cels used in this groundbreaking process are known as Kodaliths. This process proved to be so complicated and costly that it was never again used for a feature film.

This lot includes one cream-colour lycra-blend jumpsuit covered in intricate circuit-board decals painted black and marked "Flynn" and "NG" on the interior; one cream-colour lycra-blend belt labeled "Jeff"; and one cream-colour nylon-blend glove. "NG" is believed to be production shorthand for "No Good," indicating that the jumpsuit was likely retired at some point during production.

Also included is a white foam neutral program-style bracer labeled "R" and covered in matching circuit-board decals; a UK-printed copy of the August 19, 1982 edition of Rolling Stone magazine featuring a colour-printed photograph of Bridges in his Flynn costume and the cover headline "The Secrets of Tron"; and a Kodalith transparency of Flynn and Lora Baines (Cindy Morgan) numbered "323" and labeled for scene number "G517 SC 6/3 2." The lot exhibits flaked paint and cracked foam on the costume components, as well as discolouration throughout from production use and age.
